Jean is a Registered Nurse and Midwife with over 40 years of practical experience. During the last 13years of her Nursing career she worked in a Maternity Unit which is most helpful when treating pregnancy related and infancy problems.
Jean retired from Professional Nursing and then qualified 1997 as a Therapeutic Aromatherapist. She found she wanted to learn about other modalities as well and the Bowen Technique provided the ideal opportunity. It was the best decision she ever made. She found her Nursing experience and Aromatherapy knowledge an added advantage in treating clients.
She became an accredited Bowen Practitioner in 2001. Since then she has concentrated exclusively on practicing and promoting this exciting technique. She has found the Bowen Technique to benefit clients with a large range of conditions from stress, muscular-skeletal injuries, digestive, respiratory and many other problems.
She became an Instructor accredited by the Bowtech Academy in Australia from 2006. She has attended Advanced and Masters Seminars in the U.K. and travels regularly overseas to maintain the highest possible standard.
Jean is married and lives in Cape Town with her retired husband Mac. Her eldest son Michael and his wife Karrima have a boy and a baby girl also living in Cape Town. Her youngest son Stephen lives in London.
Jean is a keen reader and gardener and enjoys meeting people.
